Professional Development Program Grants Awarded for FY2012
GRIFFIN, Georgia– Training programs for ag professionals covering goat production, Annie’s Project, and high tunnels have been funded by the Southern Sustainable Agriculture Research & Education (SARE) program for FY2012.
The Professional Development Program Grants are “train the trainer” awards that provide sustainable agriculture education and outreach strategies for ag professionals who work directly with farmers and ranchers. Training activities can include seminars, workshops, farm tours, on-farm demonstrations, or marketing materials.
Three 2-year projects, totaling $250,000, were funded for FY2012. They include:
